Disappointed by a prologue that promised me a story that never emerged, one that mirrored a sense of foreboding and a mystery at the boarding school, something supernatural perhaps?
If you like books about people who are going through rocky marriages whose lives are described in miniature detail then this is for you. Others I would say avoid.
If Olivia had a backbone and hadn't married her waste of space husband or insisted they stay in the city or any one of a 100 things she could have avoided feeling miserable. What centaur you were they living in that when she got pregnant she had to get married? Just because his father as a reverend stupid, stupid, stupid!!!! Not the message I'd like to perpetuate.
