Right from the start I had my doubts about this one; there is a who's-who list before the first chapter and when the author feels these are necessary I worry the novel is going to be overly complicated, just trying to remember which character is which. The tone of this is very 'teenage' and although I do enjoy YA fiction the writing style of this one is off-putting.
The cover is beautiful though. It is certainly eye catching, and I'm always willing to give my lesser-read genres a try, but unfortunately the sample didn't win me over this time.
