This book is almost exactly what the tagline proclaims it to be, but I don't know that that's a good thing. All the trashy drama of Gossip Girl with some of the diversity of Crazy Rich Asians.
The characters lack any depth, the ones you might have some hope for have (badly) hidden shallows. The pop culture references make up more of the extract than the narrative. Not remotely my thing.
