I am a big fan of contemporary! They're so easy and fun to read especially during the summer. Anna K is a half white and half Korean teenager and we follow her story, I was really sucked into the story and I felt as though I was there myself. The characters are so fascinating and easy to follow eventhough there are so many different characters but that's the beauty of Jenny Lee's writing, it's so easy to follow. I loved the overdetail of Anna's life, it made me fully understand and was so entertaining to live a whole different life. This is great for teenagers as it's so easy to get sucked into, it's modern, fun, fast and gives a sense of escapism from our mundane life. You fall in love with all the characters even though they're so so different to us and we don't understand their struggles but that's not the case, Jenny Lee's writing really makes us feel and understand everything theyre going through
