The blurb and the first impression had me really excited for this book but I really struggled to enjoy it. I loved Dustin and how hard working he was. This was a refreshing break from the rest of the spoilt rich kids in New York that the rest of the book is filled with. I would consider based on the topic of the book it to be a young adult book however the amount of drug abuse contained especially at the beginning with no apparent repercussions appeared to glamorise the use of drugs. I know this was the retelling of a previous Russian story ( of which I haven’t read) but I felt maybe the author had write to hard to modernise the book and was almost normalising the cocaine use at the parties etc
