I very much enjoyed reading Anna K and think that this will have a very wide appeal. The cover is absolutely stunning - I enjoyed the classic outer cover with the more modern inner picture as a nod to the change of era. I found it very helpful to have a character list with a few keys facts about the main players at the very beginning as it can often be tricky recalling everyone when so many are introduced in the first few chapters. I did find parts a little challenging to engage with - entitled New York teens do come across unfavourably but it worked for me overall. I found this an enjoyable escapism book and highly recommend to anyone who likes reading YA literature but with a little extra!
