I am currently reading Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy when i heard about this book, it is like Anna Karenina but with a modern twist. I am loving Anna Karenina, so to read it modernised and set in New York (like a blend of Anna Karenina and Gossip Girl) seems very interesting and entertaining. I think this may aimed more to a teen audience which I can enjoy myself. The story follows a beautiful New York socialite, Anna, who takes pride in being perfect. However she meets the playboy Vronskey, do I need to go on? I’m presuming a love or infatuation will blossom between the two and the challenges they will face by being young and in love against odds. However, what intrigued me also, is the other characters, will there be a Kitty and Levin equivalent? Will there be love affairs? How will this all play out in a New York socialite backdrop? To sum it up, I am really into this concept and can’t wait to read it eventually!
