I was excited to start reading Anna K as it sounded like such a fun read but I really struggled to get into it and didn't enjoy it at all. I found the book really hard to read with the way it was laid out with so much text blocks and no breaks anywhere as it felt like there were no suitable places to stop and having so many pages it put me off reading before I'd even started. It's for this reason it's taken me this long to read! I didn't really feel like the characters were particularly interesting and relatable and so with all of the above the book became a chore to read. I found this disappointing as I really wanted to like this book but I just didn't. I think it's a good idea for a story but I wouldn't rush to read anymore books from this author in the future. Maybe others will prefer the book and writing style though as aside from the book layout which is terrible the book isn't bad, it's just not for me.
