This is a really difficult book for me to review, I have such mixed feelings about it! It took me quite a long time to read as I had to make myself pick it up, but then when I did sit down to read I would get through quite large chunks as I got into the story and the writing.
I know the characters are young, but they seem particularly childish, even Anna who is supposed to be the mature one. They are also all so shallow and superficial, caring only about their looks, brands and popularity. I found it almost impossible to relate to them and didn't really feel much sympathy for any of them. This was the first time I actually felt too old for a YA book but maybe it's because they were just acting like teenagers rather than having to save the world.
The was quite a bit of humour through the book with a couple of laugh out loud parts. The last quarter was really intense and gripping and the end had me tearing up.
