I didn’t know what to expect too much going into this. I have heard of Anna Karenina but have not actually ever got round to reading it. I must admit I sometimes find classics hard going to get through. So I was really excited to see a modern retelling of the story as I thought it would be an easier read. Plus the cover made it seem interesting. And I was not wrong!

The story centres around Anna and Alexia who is referred to as ‘The Count’ plus the other people in their lives specifically friends and siblings.
Anna’s life seems perfect, she has this amazing boyfriend, she’s smart, beautiful and rich. But Anna realises something was missing after a chance meeting at the train station with Alexia.

It’s an insightful look in to the lives of New York’s elite teenagers. It’s a fabulous, emotional read. Have plenty of tissues to hand!
