Whilst I have read and enjoyed Anna Karenina a few times I was interested to see where this parody like version would take us. I wouldn’t buy this kind of book for myself ordinarily but it was lent to me so I decided to give it a go.
Whilst the concept is a bit too young for my particular tastes I could appreciate what the author was trying to do and can see that many many readers with tastes differing to mine would enjoy this book as it’s very well written. The characters are well developed and each have a role to play in guiding the story along. It is very good with what it does and I can appreciate the writing style and plot line however I think it is aimed at a younger audience than myself. I think this would be a great book for someone in their early twenties regardless of wether they had an interest in the classics of not. Great book but not quite for me.
