I am leaning towards 3.5 stars. I found the plot interesting and I liked reading about most of the characters. I have never read Tolstoy’s Anna Karenina so I do not know how this compares to the original.
The first thing that drew me towards this book was the cover, it is gorgeous and really striking. The plot intrigued me since it had been compared to Crazy Rich Asians, which I really enjoyed reading.
I really liked that it was told from multiple perspectives since it gave you a better understanding of the story. Since the chapters started mostly part of the way down the page the previous ended it slowed down my read and I struggled to get through it.
Overall, I enjoyed reading the book, but I struggled with the pace and there were some parts of the story that I didn't like.
