I could tell from the first few pages that I would love Anna K, I was sucked into a powerful elite world and I wanted to know everything about it!
Firstly, the cover is the first thing I love about this novel. The cover of Anna K is eye catching and beautiful, I would most definitely pick this up off the shelf as a cover buy!
Secondly, I understood this to be a retelling of Anna Karenina, however I've never read it so I'm sure I missed out on most of the connections and similarities. I don't think not having read Anna Karenina had a negative effect on my experience though, if anything it's had a positive effect as I'd like to read the original novel now!
Anna K is full of a variety of characters, each with their own voice and vying to be heard. I would definitely recommend this book.
