I was so looking forward to reading this book but unfortunately right from the start I just could not get into the story. I found the characters childish and annoying with no depth and didn't enjoy the storyline. I really wanted this book to be a modern version of Anna Karenina but for me it was more like reading a literature version of Gossip girl. I found some of the plotlines unrealistic and the dialogue irritating at times. I believe this book has been marketed for young adults and while they will possibly identify with the characters and some of the issues I think it gives an impression that being rich and having exactly what you want all the time is all that matters and this could cause some younger readers to question their own self esteem.
