Follow the elite Manhattan kids as they embark on life's young adult struggles when saddled with a good name and money-but expect to feel many emotions within a few pages. Jenny Lee, the author, has managed to sum up her characters in as few as seventeen pages, setting the scene for our story, and capturing the lives of these teens. Sadly we did not meet the acclaimed Anna K in our small snippet of the book, nor the notorious playboy, and love interest Alexia and therefore it's difficult to assume how the rest of the book will read once they're introduced. However, the characters introduced so far do match the Gossip Girl/ Crazy Rich Asians comparisons, talked up to be messy, self-destructive and all-around bad people. I can imagine it be rather interesting to see their redemption to likability, one I imagine would be a rather big feat based on the pictures already painted by the author.
