it took me a while to get into this, mostly because I don't usually read high school romances.
I have been reading this on and off for the last month or so, but as I got close to the end, I suddenly found myself become so much more attached to the characters and the story.
I cried buckets at the ending.
For me personally, I think there's always a little bit of a barrier to relating to characters as I read a lot of thrillers and fantasy. I loved that this book dealt with so many real life issues, like addiction and relationship issues.
It showed that people are real and flawed and beautiful. It showed that even those who portray themselves as perfect are not without fault.
It was such a good read and one that I know I will be picking up again
