I knew I was going to love this from the first impression and man I was not disappointed!
Firstly, the covers were fabulous. I love the white and gold subtle cover in keeping with the Penguin design and the character cover was just stunning. The artwork is exceptional, very attractive and attention pulling so no doubt this will be flying off the shelves shortly.
I’ve not read a book by Jenny Lee before but I can honestly say I will be looking at her other publications now.
I particularly like how we are given a character breakdown at the beginning. It’s helpful to refer back to during the book (there are A LOT of characters to keep track of).
It was a very YA, gossip girl-esce novel and completely up my street and something I didn’t even know I needed until now. I hadn’t read YA for a while and worried that I’d struggle to relate to the teenage dramas but it was written so well I really got involved in the emotion of each character and made for an immersive read for me.
