Billy Orr runs into his ex-girlfriend, Aimi, in a supermarket when he returns to spend time with his dying sister. She persuades him to help her fake her own death in order to escape from her abusive husband. However, neither Aimi or Billy are victims or heroes in this story which has many unexpected plot twists.
Billy had lots of brilliant witty repartee which I found amusing.
The story kept me hooked and determined to read to the end and find out the real motive for Aimi's disappearance and what part all the other characters played in the plot.
This book left me feeling a bit dissatisfied as not all the loose ends were fully resolved.
I also don't like storylines which jump about in time and place a lot, as this one did.
