This is a definite change for Muchamore but I am on board with this context of mental health, insitutionalisation and finding out who you are. The characters so far in the excerpt are relatable despite where they are in the initial passage. I liked the shift to the time before in chapter one and it seems the story will reveal the how of events leading to the hospital setting. This was engaging so far and I'd love to read more.
