I've got plenty of time for YA novels, there are some pretty damn good ones out there. This one seems a bit Girl, Interrupted/One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest esque, both of which are great books, so I'd be willing to give this one a go. I really like the fact that the author has written an open letter at the start of the book about his struggles with mental health.
