This is 100% my kind of book and it's interesting to know that it's Own Voices, in that the author has been in a psychiatric unit themselves. So have I, and let me tell you - I relate to this. The drama, the tantrums - you'd never think the people were all over 16 (or whatever the age limit on this ward is). The group therapy session was just SO accurate.

I read a lot of 'issue' books and this is perfect for me. I can relate directly, and I'm so excited to see a book where the portrayal of a mental institution is REAL. The idea of two VERY different teenagers meeting there is also completely realistic, and a brilliant premise.

I am genuinely very excited about this book (and the fact it mentions exploring sexuality is another good for me, I love this kind of plot). Coming of age novels are my speciality, I guess you could say - and I cannot wait to read this. I'm preordering it the minute after I hear whether I'm getting a copy!
