Brilliant! I've read many books by Robert Muchamore before - such as the Cherub and Rock War series - and thoroughly enjoyed them all, but this book was on a next level completely!
Whilst his other books also have unique plot-lines, this one was entirely different to anything I have ever read before. When I read the synopsis, I was surprised to see that the author was writing about politics, rebellion, mental health and change as I had never expected this from him, and his other books were significantly lighter reading - however, I knew immediately that it would be great, and I was not disappointed.
I was absolutely entranced by the two main characters - Georgia and Julius - and their stories, which intertwined so beautifully towards the end. Whilst there were a few scenes which absolutely infuriated me, this book was absolutely brilliant overall, revealing a depth to Muchamore's writing I had never seen in his other books. Emotional, thought-provoking and inspiring - I would definitely recommend this book to everyone.
