Interesting characters
I was very intrigued by the premise of the story . Two teenagers living polar opposite lives and the first chapter had me hooked. But the book got very political, a lot of moaning and complaining about budget cuts and overworked NHS staff. I persevered as I wanted to know what will happen to the two main characters.
Georgia an english teenager who becomes a face for rebellion against the government and Julius- Nigerian boy exiled by his wealthy family for being gay. Both with very different problems meet in a mental health unit and each others only hope. It's a good story about friendship , sexuality and pressures of modern life. But for me, it felt very unrealistic and stretched the Nigerian corruption and English budget cuts problems for too long.
