This story is based around 2 teenagers lives: Georgia and Julius. There is a short chapter where these two meet at an adolescent mental health unit in the UK and then the book goes a year or so into the past and tells their seperate stories, Georgia's is about ending up in the limelight for activism and Julius is about being gay in a country that still believes this is a punishable crime. The book deals with hugely relevant current issues and at times was very gritty and difficult to read. I felt that the switching between characters took a little getting used to but worked well because the chapters were short and snappy. This author's writing style is clear, honest and upfront and I will definitely read his books again.
