This was a unique take on a multi cultural narrative about the issues of being young and trying to find your way in the world.
The book covers many mature and difficult topics like homosexuality and mental health. Yet, it does so in a delicate and realistic manner which is refreshing. Some books feel like these issues are covered because they're what ought to be covered, but this felt like it discussed them in a natural way, which I liked.
The characters were likeable and relatable, despite being quite different. I like that there was something for everyone in this book.
