This is one of the best crime books I have read in a long time, and I have read most of them. It is up there with the best. It is so well written, probably because the author spent over 20 years as a UK police officer. The story had me gripped all the way through with an amazing and plausible twist at the end. Well done to this author for his first crime book, can't wait for the next one in the series. It's gritty and fast paced with a storyline that is scarily credible. I would love this to become a series as the main character has such potential. However, I was frustrated and annoyed at the constant use of police acronyms and abbreviations that seemed to appear on every other page. Recommended!
