From the minute I started reading Ayesha at last I just new it would be a page turner. Ayesha is a lovable protagonist and the epitome of modern women- a worthy Elizabeth Bennet in this gorgeous retelling of Pride and Prejudice. The novel is dripping with culture which makes it refreshing to read as it shows life from different backgrounds and shows how women’s literature is becoming more diverse!

The authors writing style is so genuine that you immediately warm to the characters and the beautiful storyline that outlines the challenges faced by immigrants as well as young Muslims- something that is increasingly more relevant in today’s ever-growing multi-cultural society. The author skilfully provides the reader the opportunity to have an insight into the importance of faith and beliefs, the emotional complexities of relationships (particularly those in Muslim communities) and ofcourse life as a young adult living in the 21st century.

I absolutely loved this read so far, the characters stuck with me and it felt real! Phenomenal writing to produce a beautiful and powerful modern classic with tear-jerking potential!
