Love BAME Fiction, perhaps another Monica Ali?

I do like BAME women's fiction and I think this would be no exception.

Although the storyline does seem like a typical romance novel, I do think it is important that readers read about all cultures. Arranged marriage is an emotive subject for some and just a fact of life for others, so to see how it is dealt with in the novel would be really interesting.

I am a fan of British BAME authors such as Meera Syal and Monica Ali, in fact I wrote my dissertation analysing post-colonial fiction, so I'd find it really interesting to read a Canadian Muslim female author to see how her style, setting and content differs or is similar to her British counterparts.

Also reading should be fun and light-hearted at times, and be a way of escapism and I feel this novel would be just that.
