I love retellings, I love Pride and Prejudice and I love diversity in literature, so this is right up my alley.
Including and twisting that famous 'truth universally acknowledged' made me smile widely.
I can completely relate to Ayesha's anxiety and she seems like a loveable character and making the Lizzie of the story an educated poet and teacher is a really nice way to modernise the dynamic of the characters.
Not to mention that this is a debut novel!
