The fact that this excerpt started with Khalid's point of view was superb. I loved his snooping on Ayesha and the frantic, escape she made. Then to find Ayesha facing her first day at work and feeling overwhelmed and sitting on the toilet writing poetry was both funny and engaging. These character already have my interest and I want to see so much more of them, their families, the wedding plans and their independent lives.
