I could happily have carried on reading beyond the first impression. A Pride and Prejudice retelling is always worth a look, and this is written in a confident, warm style that makes an easy yet interesting read. I warmed instantly to the main characters and their work and family issues, and can't wait to see how things play out.
I must admit I wasn't grabbed by the cover - if I'd seen it on the shelf, I'd have assumed it was a 'young' YA novel, and probably passed it by.
