I loved this novel, it is portrayed as a modern day Muslim Pride & Prejudice story. I'm not fully familiar with Pride & Prejudice, I picked up on a few hints and comparisons but I'm sure there's a lot more.
I would say this novel is quite similar to Crazy Rich Asians, it's an immersive experience into the world of a rich and diverse culture with the theme focusing on marriage and eligible brides/grooms. However I definitely think this novel has a slight edge on CRA by being a lot more fun throughout.
The characters were fun and interesting, I particularly liked Ayesha, she's a strong female lead with her own opinions but who also knows when she's in the wrong.
I adored the slow romance throughout this book, the build up was brilliantly written. There were also wonderful twists and surprising to keep the reader on their toes.
If this is a book that takes your interest I would definitely recommend it!
