This book is simply beautiful. The bright colour of the cover and the beauty of the photo of a young girl wearing her hijab is mesmerising. From my personal experience I cannot say I have been acquainted with many female Muslim authors however after being introduced to this book I am only filled with regret that I had not been introduced sooner! This book is so relatable and humorous as you hear about the aunties who many of us have had the unfortunate experience of meeting and on a darker side a slight fear of arranged marriage and the inability to actually find and choose a soul mate of your own. Ayesha is seen to me as a independent woman with high aspirations and dreams, this stereotype of Muslims is not always conveyed in the media as most people will know so to be able to read this is amazing. This book through all its twists and turn is about family something that many families- not just Muslim ones are all about which is why it is so good.
