First of all, why is the print in this book oh so small and some of the sentences are soooooo long that I kinda just lose the will to live. I would much rather have a longer book with the more standard size of text.
This, for me, was an interesting insight into a Muslim culture that I admittedly don't know that much about. It is a retelling of Pride and Prejudice, but it is also so much more than that too. I like the representation in the book and the fact it's set Canada because who doesn't love Canada. The first third of the book is very slow but this is due to Ayesha and Khalid having very little interaction and it's definitely worth sticking with it. I would recommend this book because it's something a little different but also not and it's a really good way to somewhat educate yourself on what it's like to be a Muslim woman in the 21st century.
Although all opinions are my own, I would like to thank Corvus and Readers First for an advance copy of this novel.
