Ayesha at Last is a Muslim love story. I must admit it's probably not a book I would pick off the shelf myself but I really enjoyed it. Ayesha is 27 and single and while she is pretending to be her cousin Hafsa she meets Khalid a man who follows Muslim tradition to the letter.
In every culture true love never runs smooth and this is very evident in this book. While Khalid and Ayesha are getting to know each other his very controlling mother has arranged for him to be married to someone else.
The writing style is modern and refreshing and it was nice to experience a bit of other cultures. This book is sweet, charming and funny. It was great to see revenge being served on a few nasty characters and true love winning out in the end.
