Aisha is struggling with her job as a teacher, what she thought would be fun and rewarding turns out to be a lot more work than she thought and after having a conversation with her best friend, while hiding from her class in the staff toilets she agrees to go out, little does she know on that night she’ll meet her friends work colleague who lives across the street from her, Khalid. After his snap judgement of Aisha that night though she is decidedly sour towards him but still can’t seem to forget him. An amazing story, well told and well written. It’s really interesting to read a book that delves deeper into Muslim culture and allows us an insight into the beliefs and pressures that young Muslims are bound by.
