Beautiful cultural love story
This story follows Khalid and Ayesha through a complicated beautiful love story, combining the struggles and turmoil that goes on within the Muslim communities.
Not only did I learn so much about the Muslim community and the eye opening effects of racism and struggles within the workplace, but I also fell in love with the characters and their 'unconventional' love.
This story would make a great bollywood movie, I could definitely see it on the big screen. The references to it being a 'witty muslim salute to Pride and Prejudice' couldn't be more accurate.
I also love the references to Shakespeare through-out and how the quotes used perfectly match the situations.
I feel so warm and fuzzy after reading the book.
