I thought this book was a bit slow starting, but as you begin to read the story evolves and you instantly become wrapped up in the lives of Ayesha and Khalid. This Modern take on a classic love story is well written, while highlighting the Muslim faith and the prejudice they receive.
Through Khalid's discrimination at work and the emphasis he relys on his faith he was a good main character who you were willing to fall in love with Ayesha.
The twist at the end of the book with Tarek and his need for revenge was one which I never saw coming, but was well written and kept me turning the page and needing to know what happened next.
Overall, I really enjoyed this story and look forward to reading more from the same author.
