Exciting and heart touching
Romance is one of my favourite genres to read and Ayesha At Last is a novel within this genre that didn’t disappoint.
It was a new and unique retelling of Pride and Prejudice (a novel that I absolutely love making this story all that much better). What I really loved was the diverse Muslim representation within the book itself, although I’m not from Canada myself I am Muslim and it is lovely to see all the different types of Muslims that are out there, and I feel that’s what gave it the level of authenticity and is a book I will no doubt not only recommend to everyone but a book that’ll stay with me forever.
Ayesha is a poet, and I really love how it explores her passions and inability to follow her dream because of duty to her family to stay financially stable; it’s such a genuine portrayal that really touched my heart!
