Pains me to say it but this wasn’t one for me; I found it quite dull. I really struggled to finish this book and found it a chore to read. It felt quite slow in pace with not an awful lot happening. The back stories to both the main characters wasn’t awfully deep and I felt that this meant that the story didn’t have much intrigue. This is a shame as I had really high hopes for this book based on the information provided.
The back of the book likens it to pride and prejudice however this couldn’t be further from the truth in my honest opinion, I am afraid to say. Would I read another book by the author; it’s unlikely unless the book was much more developed than this one. Very disappointed.
