How many times have we heard ‘modern day pride and prejudice’ applied to a romance novel? A lot! Which makes it hard to get your hopes up.
Even if you’re not familiar with pride and prejudice you’ll still enjoy this.
This book is a triumph and I enjoyed it more than I was expecting it to. Its a slow burn but with fantastic characters that you will find yourself invested in. Ayesha herself is a fantastic main character, and the book offers insight into Muslim culture which is so rarely done in mainstream romance novels.
This is definitely worth a read, this feels very much like YA to me but whether you’re a teenager or an adult with an interest in the romance genre- consider picking this book up!
