Took me by surprise!
I'm not normally one for romance novels but this book was so much more than that. I learned things about a culture I've not known that much about before. It was so interesting especially as a lot of the things I thought I knew were completely wrong. What's more, the story itself was jam-packed with complex relationships, inner torment, revenge and scandal. I loved all the main characters, especially Ayesha and Clara, and really enjoyed seeing how they developed. This book is so much more than a love story. It's a tale of learning to stand on your own two feet and being your true self. I would recommend this book to adults and teens alike as I truly think that everyone could learn something from this book.
