Firstly I want like to say I really like the cover, it's simple and pretty!

Now onto the book, I really enjoyed reading it, it's loosely based on Pride and Prejudice and I thought it was a fresh and modern retelling of the classic! It did take me a while to get into it but once I did, I couldn't stop reading! There are some twists that I did see coming when I was reading the book but that didn't stop me from enjoying it! I thought the writing was poetic and made it easy and enjoyable to read. There are lots of issues explored in the book, Islamophobia is one of the topics and I hope more books explore this sensitive but very real issue!

Ayesha is a great main character, she's intelligent and protective of her family and I really enjoyed watching her story develop! Another character I loved watching grow was Khalid, he really opened up and was a charmingly awkward love interest. I loved watching them both become more adaptable and stand up for themselves and their dreams! I really love the family aspect of the book too, with all the cousins and grandparents as I have a big family too so I found it very relatable!

Overall it was an enjoyable read and would definitely recommend to people looking for a fun rom-com!
