I found this to be an amusing and enjoyable story, perfect for a quick, fun Spring read.

It's a modern-day Muslim re-telling of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice set in the Canadian city of Toronto which is well-written by debut author Uzma Jalaluddin.

There are some wonderful,
likeable characters, like Ayesha and Khalid, who you really root for. Plus there are some truly awful ones, Sheila and Tarek, who you cant wait to get their comeuppance!

Despite its humour it also includes some serious topics such as Islamophobia, workplace bullying and arranged marriages but in a way that is not preachy or heavy handed.

It's a good debut novel and I'd like to read more by this author in future!
