This is a modern, relatable book for any Western Muslim who's life is completely different to the average Western, yet an enjoyable read for anyone, no matter what your faith. This book handles issues such as Islamophobia, and love incredibly well. The main character, an unmarried young Muslim woman called Ayesha, became a high-school teacher when what she really wanted was to be a poet. She soon falls in love with a rich Muslim man whose views infuriate her, but things work out in the end.
I loved this book because I loved the characters, and how cleverly the author adapted Pride and Prejudice - and even included some paraphrased quotes! This book was so honest and powerful, and is definitely the best book I've read this year-I recommend it to everyone.
