An intriguing start and an interesting premise
I really appreciated the inclusion of triggers warnings right off the bat, that was considerate and helpful. I also love Hot Key Books and think they publish some brilliant books that often land just right, so I have total trust in their taste.
The writing feels a little younger (simpler maybe) than I was anticipating, but that is fine with me, I shall readjust my expectations and dive back in. An intriguing start and an interesting premise. This feels like it will be a hit with fans of The Inheritance Games or We Were Liars. I love the island, small-town setting and can't wait to find out what's going on and whodunnit!
