I really enjoyed this extract! It has a similar vibe to we were liars, offering an exploration into the dark events of the past and present. While also running alongside a summery romance. I felt the scene was set perfectly for an deep dive into the curse and another shocking tragic event while also offering whisks of romance between Luca and Naomi! The underlying tones of racial disparity also add depth and representation to this book.
