I don't normally pick up YA books, but when I have previously, I have usually enjoyed them. But I just couldn't quite get into this one, even from the first couple of pages. However I think this is simply because I am not the intended age group for this book - as opposed to there being anything wrong with the book, premise or writing style.
I am not sure about the front cover - for a book which covers so many issues - much more could have been made of the front cover in my opinion.
