First impressions suggest the plot is nothing new when you have read as many murder/mystery books as i have (I am considerably older than the YA demographic) with a murder happening close to home, the police investigation not resolving the case satisfactorily and the lead character(s) taking matters into their own hands. However, as long as the characters are well drawn then this can still be an interesting and thoroughly enjoyable book. Being set in such a beautiful location can only help too.
