The holiday-happy cover is in confusing contrast to the frightening thoughts and dark themes in the story. Rebecca Barrow's story somehow reminds me of My Sister the Serial Killer; the juxtaposition of everyday concerns with murder is similarly unsettling. The developing relationship between Luca and Naomi offers extra interest and emotion and really propels the narrative.
